Since starting the scanning service we have built up a solid and enviable reputation for custom scans of an uncompromisingly high quality, at a fair price and realistic turn-round time.

PDS scans are made exactly to clients' wishes.
Requirements are fully discussed before your job is accepted. PDS knows how essential it is to fully understand the exact commercial and artistic issues involved.  This ensures that our service is precisely tailored to each commission.  We welcome difficult or unusual projects and can scan film of several feet in length for example!

You can also be certain that every bit of colour will be extracted from your transparencies and negatives.  This is because our scanners are regularly profiled using the wide gamut, individually read HCT colour targets.  Also we are prepared to go to whatever lengths are necessary to get the results you want.

So questions are not just about 'how many?' or 'what size?'.
We also establish whether the scans are to be in an unusual colour space....and can advise.   Will particular images need to be delivered in 16 bit?   Whatever it is you need from your images, we will work closely with you to deliver it.  And, we will do the job on time.

drum scanning

The decision to offer a  'precision drum scanning service'  was triggered by the realisation that commercially available scans were generally of indifferent quality.  In the main, they failed to address many of the requirements of top flight image makers, fine art print makers and those seeking scans for the very highest quality archival purposes such as art galleries, museums and collectors.
